The project Bavarian Forest National Park Partners was launched by the National Park Authority together with the experts in tourism of the districts of Freyung-Grafenau and Regen, the Association of National Park Communes and the Advertising Association Zwieseler Winkel in autumn of 2005. The project is destined to reliably provide guests of the National Park region with qualitative and environmental standards in their accomodation and, at the same time, give comprehensive information about the National Park and convey its philosophy on nature protection. The National Park Authority actively supports the partner companies with marketing and further training activities. The participants expect that their co-operation in natural protection and tourism economy result in an all-embracing regional commercialisation and in a higher level of acceptance of the National Park.
